What are Apple AirPods?
Apple AirPods are wireless Bluetooth earbuds that are created by Apple. They were first released on the 13th of December, 2016, and they are sold beside the premium Apple AirPods Pro.
In addition to playing audio sounds, Apple AirPods comes with a built-in microphone that filters and takes away background noise, which supports the taking of phone calls and talking to Apple's digital assistant, Siri. For example, the day that Apple released its second-generation Apple AirPods to the general public, the company also brought out a new firmware update for their first-generation AirPods, taking them up their version from version 3.7.2 to version 6.3.2.

Steps to update your AirPods

If you're still having trouble with updating your AirPods, make sure that the charging case is fully charged. You can also try resetting the AirPods to there default settings.
Check Your AirPods' Firmware Version
To check the version of the firmware that you have just installed on your Apple Airpods, to ensure that it is up to date, follow these steps below:
- Launch and open the Settings app on your iOS device.
- Tap on the General option.
- Tap on the About option.
- Tap on AirPods.
- Check the numbers that are displayed beside the Firmware Version.
Firmware updates for the Apple AirPods don't come out regularly, and the latest version is 6.3.2.
